My older computer once had a 19" monitor on it, and worked fine in a higher display. I plugged in the smaller monitor and now it won't boot past the XP logon. After it goes past the XP Logon the screen turns black and says Going to Sleep, yet you can hear the computer working like it's booted up. I tried to set the display lower with the older bigger monitor but the problem persists. What am i doing wrong?

I've started it in Safe Mode earlier, it works in Safe Mode, i changed the display type then, and the same thing happened once i rebooted it. It works in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, VGA Mode... no other modes will work. It works fine in VGA mode, i can even set it up to 1028x800 and see things fine. However once i boot it back into normal windows mode, problem happens again. You can hear it booting, and i've even tried to "memorize" the commands to bring up display page and change the settings, but that doesn't even work.

Your new computer graphic card can't support the resolution of your 15'' monitor.Normally this problem always happen when you connect to some new computers. The only way to solve is to use 17'' monitor as a minimum requirement.I've already haved this problem and just because of this I have to buy a new monitor.
