I have a problem with my PC starting up. It claims there is no signal, i.e. monitor not connected. However, this is not true. I have checked and double checked and triple checked all connections. The monitor itself is not faulty, because if I leave the PC on with “No Signal” still displaying sometimes I come back to it n it has booted up and is at the login screen, so I know the monitor/dvi cable/graphics card are not faulty, but instead are just choosing to be temperamental.
I do not have a spare graphics card/monitor to try it out with but can anyone suggest any reasons as to why this might be happening?
Additional Points:
1.My monitor cable has got screws and they have been screwed in properly
2.I have removed and reinserted graphics card and cables
3.The PC goes straight to No Display then the monitor turns off as if in standby. It doesn't go to POST screen
4.My Monitor has its own power supply
5.I cannot start safe mode/reinstall drivers because it wont turnOn
