I've just bought a new 300GB external hardrive and since it only needs a USB connection anyone can come in and take it and possibly delete things or copy things without my permission. Is there anyway i can put a password on the hardrive so i can only get into it or perhaps a program u can download which will do the same thing???
Thanks alot!

sure, you could. i don't know what operating gadget that you're utilising yet assuming that it truly is homestead windows, you should use some 0.33 celebration application strategies. even if it truly is homestead windows 7 perfect / corporation version, you could try bit-locker which encrypts the entirechronic. so as that it truly is a lot extra guard than putting a only a password. once you're utilising Linux / Unix distribution, guy you could do fairly some issues and lot of protection appropriate initiatives. once you're utilising Linux / Unix and decide to study about them, contact me. i'm keen that could also help you. Cheers.
