It's like asking what's the best car to have

there's no such a thing as "best computer" .. or "best car" .. a milion dollar porsche (or smt else) is useless for someone who's looking to buy a car for his farm's needs or for transporting his big family ..

so what i'm saying is you have to decide what you need it for .. you may go with notebooks if you don't need much of operating power but rather need mobility, you can go with inexpensive desktops if all you going to do is only some MS OFFICE works or your school classes, you may go with expensive desktops with great video cards and CPU and motherboard and memory if you're about to waste your days playing games, etc ..

right now the highest performance CPU i heard is 3.8ghz P-IV , but I wouldn't buy it because it is just waste of money (at least for me), because it's going to cost some 2 times more than a 3.2ghz CPU and the difference in performance is not that big ..

well, i could bring examples hours and hours .. you need to be more specific of what you need the computer for and what are you planing to do on that thing mainly
