OK....SO NO PC WILL RECOGNIZE MY SEAGATE 40GB EXTERNAL USB HARDRIVE. I CANT FIND THE DRIVER DRIVERGUIDE IS DOWN FOR MAINTAINANCE. IVE LOOKED FOR IT EVEN ON SEAGATE.COM. CAN ANYONE TELL ME EXACTLY WHERE TO FIND IT????

I just tried to install Itunes to my mums PC and noticed that the CD/DVD drive had been disabled. i tried to re enable the drives but it wouldnt enanble them, thinking something was wrong i ran a virus check only to find 400+ spyware trojan virus on her PC. I clean then and tried to quarantine them however one of them (sorry cant remember the name) couldnt be removed. It then started to auto shut down and before i could cancel it, it switched off. I now cant get pass the safe mode splash screen even trying to boot off the recovery only gets me 1 further screen saying detecting NTHardware and wont go any further. It hangs until you ctrl alt del and restart. Please help

The last partition I have tried to make keeps showing up as Invalid Partition size. I tried different sizes and types of partitions...still nothing, any ideas??

Ijust purchased a game called Titan Quest. I installed the game and when i go to play the game the screen goes into standby mode. Can anyone help me fix this problem??

can a computer with 254mb shared graphic run the same programs as a computer with 254mb of dedicated graphis and can it run the new game supreme commander because my son keeps asking me to get it. the pc i am getting also comes with two giga bites of ram and i wasd woundering if a can change it so that it uses like 500mb of ram for the graphics and if so how would i do this

i have tried to download trial software like windvd and it still won't play a dvd. when i put a dvd in, my computer tells me to please insert disk, when it's already in there! any advice on what i need to do to make it recognize it as a dvd?

i have a chance to upgrade my current p.c which specs are
amd 3200+ cpu
1024 mb ddr ram
ge-force 6600 agp
2 x 120gb hdd
abit nf7-s motherboard
genuine windows xp home
-----------------------------------------
and to upgrade to
intel dual core E4300 cpu
1024mb ddr2 ram
1 x 160mb hdd
intergrated pci-e graphics
windows vista basic
i am tempted but the intergrated graphics spec puts me off,and with the warranty i wont be able to upgrade straight away
any advice
note: i have a extensive knowledge of building p.c,s ect so should i discard the warranty and upgrade the graphics with a radeon x1950 straight away?
any advice will be appreciated

so a 22" widescreen that is 1680x1050 VS a 20" 1600x1200......if i simply multiply the numbers, i get 1764 VS 1920 ....is this correct way to determine the actual 'real estate'...by this method it's telling me that there is more total screen on a 20" regular monitor than a 22" widescreen.

i have low toner and want to send a fax. does the fax machine need toner to send an outgoing fax or is it scanned instead? i thought it might just need toner for incoming faxes in order to print. if someone knows it would be a huge help for me.

i am not sure about how to manage the wires and cables...
the sepc of the mobo said there are 5 fan connectos.... does it mean my case can have 5 case fan at the maxium? (including the cpu fan)

or i can simply connect the case fan to the powersupply?

when my computer sits a few minutes it used to go to stanby mode and i could wiggle the mouse and it would wake up. since i had to restart my computer i have to push the power button to wake it up. how do i get the mouse to wake it up again.what do i have to change?

I want the most basic model I can find, but one that is high quality. How do i create a back up restore disc in the event of system failure , i really dont want to have to restore to factory settings or reinstall vista ? Ive searched the system for a method it just has a restore point , no good during system failure . i press the power button and the fans work, the cd drives work, the hard drive works, but nothing comes up on the monitor

I recently had to reinstall (2 times at that) W.O.W. after I was late on payment and really wanted to get back into playing a great game that I just put 20.00 bucks on and this nonsense happens.....so the question is what can I do to get this fixed.....last time it had something to do with graphics as a cause but I need the exact info on what to do to get back into my game.......please help me.
