I'd suggest you download VideoLanClient or VLC player ( http://www.videolan.org/vlc ) , it can play most format even without codecs except *.rm and quicktimes. Download CCCP ( http://www.cccp-project.net ) and that's all you need, you don't have do bother downloading codecs what so ever. It's the best one, to the best of my knowledge.

the new Windows Media Player 11 from Microsoft is good and free
