* ACT
The ACT Assessment test is designed to assess a high
school student's general educational development and
ability to complete college-level work. The ACT is
generally taken by 11th graders in the spring/summer
of their Junior year of high school. The test measures
English, Math, Reading, and Science. There are about
four to five different test dates throughout each
school year. http://www.act.org

* SAT
The SAT measures verbal and mathematical reasoning
skills students have developed over time and skills
they need to be successful in college. Registration
is required and the fee for taking the SAT in 06-07
is $41.50. For detailed information visit:
visit http://www.collegeboard.com

Take both. Some students do better on the ACT, some do better on the SAT. You never know until you take them. Each website has practice questions, so check them out. And don't stress too much about your scores. These tests are supposed to help assess the knowledge you've learned over 10+ years of school. Scores will help you determine which college would be a good fit for you. Good luck!

You need to do a better job of categorizing your question. This question belongs in "Education" not "Computers & Internet". Maybe someone else knows more about this subject. It has been twenty-six years since I quit teaching in the public school system and switched to the data processing career field.
