I just downloaded an updated driver for the Radeon 9600 Video Card that I just installed. Windows Media Player plays videos normal and I can watch on YouTube. However, if I go to Yahoo! Music or CMT Player, those videos are really messed up. Only bright distorted colors. Before I downloaded the driver, the computer would freeze up. After the driver, no freeze ups but this problem above. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a big computer problem and I think I may need to update my drivers. But the hard drive is refurbished. If I install updates that are already on there, will that destroy the computer??

i think that is the problem im not sure,when i put the digital camera software and manual cd in it doesnt seem to register i know that the cdrom is reading it but nothing comes up, by the way the camera that i got is vivitar vivacam 55, i downloaded the mydsc from website and it also said i need adobe reader,but when i tried to down load reader it said it needed to close, when i bring up mydsc and try to download my pictures it says there is no camera detected as well when i put it in webcam mode it also says the same thing, im lost here please hlp!

i have enabled my fast user switching in xp and even though i have enabled it it is not working when i try to do so it says that the programs will be stoped save before you switch?what is the problem and what has to be done

Sometimes after using the computer for a while, the screen will go totally white like its bleeped out. Do I need a new driver update? What is the best way to configure or whatever I need to do so it is not unstable? Thanks.

So here is the story: My computer is around 4 years old and i have noticed that the performance has degraded quite a bit. Here are some specs:
Pentium 4
2.66 GHZ
1GB of RAM
70GB of Memory
11.7GB of open memory left

I use the average utilities to run a clean computer (norton, registry mechanic, anti-virus, disk defrag, stuff from download.com, etc) but it still kind of sucks. Also i have about 40GB (out of 70GB) dedicated just to music.

Any suggestions on how to make my computer run better? should i buy an external hard drive and put all of my music files on that?

My CD/DVD Rom in my Sony Vaio notebook died and I am in need of a replacement. The model according to the underside of my laptop says that it is a PCG-6B1L. Looking online, I can't really find much about this model (Im assuming its older?) So looking on Ebay and other places, I am having a hard time finding anything for that specific model. Is anyone familiar with this model, or are there other DVD drives that could be compatible with this model? Thanks.

I have a router, but I swear I am constantly having conflicts with other routers close to me. I know that you have the option of having a secured signal and an unsecured signal (which I did not care for mine atleast) so if someone close to me also has an unsecured signal from their router, can I get away with not having to pay for internet service?
