If u have the yahoo toolbar it has free norton scan use that to scan n see if u have a virus or bug or people trying to tamper with the system.To many things running on start up has done for me n viruses.Spybot is good for adware n spyware.

spyware ... u need a antispyware app .... fragmentation u need to defragment ...and some applications u install can conflict or use alot of system resources so be careful what u install ..
...registry does not need cleaned ever .. .thats a myth ..

you could use add or remove programs or system restore your computer goes slow when
there is a virus or you downloaded Lot of programs

Maybe it's because you have too many files downloaded on your computer. Try uninstalling the files that you don't need or don't need anymore.

it depends on how much R.A.M you have on your computer, and it also depends on how many programs you have opened..to see how much R.A.M you have go to my computer than right click then check properties.
