Why would you want Vista?
Haven't you seen the problems yet?
Here's a start for you...
1) Third party drivers/apps are not allowed unless “approved” by Microsoft. Some of your favorite software won't run on Vista because the drivers have not been "approved" by Microsoft. This also means that the digital camera you just bought may not be "allowed" to connect to the PC.
2) ALL media copied thru Vista is SERIOUSLY degraded. The mp3s that you rip, are not allowed to be full quality. Same with DVD's.
Personally, if XP ever goes out of support, I'm going Linux

Yes and no. You can load the VISTA program to either computer from the upgrade disk, but you'll only be able to activate one copy when when the trial period expires. (for an article on extending this from 30 to 120 days, go to www.langalist.com and search the topic). The disc can't tell if it's been used previously, but MicroSnot will be able to tell if you're trying to use the same disk on two (or more) comuters. You CAN purchase a second license from MicroSnot, but it's damn near as expensive as just getting a second upgrade disk.
No wonder Gates can donate a half-billion to charity.... he scraped it off our backs.

you can but you won't be able to use the internet. This is because you need the internet to activate Windows, and if you say you don't have an internet connection and don't activate it, and then log onto the internet, they'll know you illegally installed it onto 2 computers. To avoid this, you would have to purchase a second license from microsoft or an authorized third party dealer.

No, probably not.
Vista Upgrade CDs for desktops are different than ones for notebooks.
Contact Microsoft before you try anything like that though.
