I'm in a dilemma regarding what to do. I currently own a Sony Vaio laptop which i love but have the chance to pass it on to a relative for a brand new Macbook PRO and i need help to decide on what i should have, stick with my trusty PC or go for an extremely tempting MAC?

Garageband alone is a reason to get a Mac.

I Have 25 years experience on both platforms and love my Mac.

I just works, never a virus, never crashes, no drivers to install, no spyware/addware.

It recognizes just about everything I plug into the USB or Firewire and best of all, all the iLife programs are integrated so you can do so many things so easily.

I also have Office on my mac and any file I work on can be opened by any PC.

Go to the store and play with one, see what it can do and if you can deal with learning a new OS, dump the Sony.

Hi. The choice is yours but I plan on getting a MAC next just so I'll be familiar with both.
