I have a HP dvd writer and it was working perfectly burning everything. Now is not reading any type of Cds and even when I open its properties (to configure autoplay) for blank Cds is all blank. I've ran chkdsk and it shows F invalid parameter. I don't know what else to do!!! I hve try the HP website and nothing to help myself in this problem.

I have bought a new graphics card for my computer and I was told I also need to upgrade my power supply. Is it easy to install these things oneself? Are there situations where the power supply does not fit the computer case, or the graphics card won't fit? I am trying to decide whether to install these things myself, or pay 80 bucks to get it done for me. Any suggestions?

I have a cheap MP3 player that hooks up via USB cord to recharge the AAA battery. Now, it won't recognize that it is hooked up to a PC, it thinks it's on the charger, and won't let me transfer files on and off of it. Doesn't bother me, b/c I can buy a USB-SD card adapter...show me the cheapest for 10 points.

Hi Dear Friend,

I have laserjet printer (Hp 1010) along with two inkjet printers. I know refilling of cartilage in my inkjet printer. But, I do not know anything about drum of Hp Laserjet Printer. I do not want to try it without any knowledge because drum is very costly. I have lost my one inkjet printer (Hp Inkjet 670C) due to refilling of cartilage at home for first times. Does anybody is here in this groups who have perfect knowledge about refilling of drum of Hp Laserjet Printer. Please guide me some facts about laserjet printer drum for just my knowledge only. OK, my kid spilled a diet coke in our apple keyboard and it stayed there till it was gummy. Now several keystrokes result in two adjacent letters and some don't do much at all. I popped them all off and swabbed them with q-tips. What else can be done?

I would like a Mac to support powerful filmaking on ocassion, however it will be primiarly used for microsoft excel, internet, and email. So what model of a Mac should I buy and where should I buy it? I bought a g3 off of eBay a few years ago and it sometimes has trouble starting up.

Also, how hard is it to run microsoft excell files on Mac that are compatible with Windows versions of the program?

On my computer i have 1 mic ports in front and back, 1 headphone jack in front, and one L/R Speaker ports in back.
On my 5.1 surround sound, i have an Audio port on the front.

1.) It states to hook the Audio Jack up to the Audio Out/Headphone Jack. Can i plug in my head phones and Surround Sound system into my computer at the same time, or would i have to switch back and forth. If i would like to have my headphone hooked up while my subwoofer is hooked up, where do i hook the Audio jack to. Can i hook it up to the L or R speaker ports.

2.) I decided to go ahead and buy a sound blaster card and it has 3 Audio Out ports and 1 Audio Out/In port. Can i hook up my Audio Jack to any of these ports and all 5 speakers still work or can i only hook it up to the headphone port.

The reason i am asking is because the Audigy Creative Manual only shows how to hook up 3 jacks to 3 ports, but my surround sound doesn't have those kind of ports, it has the L/R TV ports and the Audio port only.

how come that you have to install games on PC and then play it, but on playstations and xbox and nintendo there's no need for installation?? why don't they create computer games like console games so you don't have to install it and fill the harddisk with games??

I have a Gateway computer with an Intel D865GLC motherboard, Pentium 4 2.60 GHz processor, a 80gb PATA drive, 3 pci slots(2 out of three are filled or going to be filled up), 512mb of RAM, a floppy drive, and a dvd-rw drive. I am getting an ATI x1600pro graphics card, and a sound card and a gig of RAM. My motherboard has a 20-pin connection, and a 4-pin 12v connection. Also, I need instructions on how to install a power supply.

I have a dell dimension 8300, I purchased a new monitor (20" flat panel), when I installed the new monitor the music videos I watch are now blurry when I go to full screen, so I purchased a new video card, a GEFORCE 6800 XTREME, when I installed it, the videos are still blurred, how do I get the music videos to come out clear and good? Apprently the video card did not help, I paid $150.00 for the card. Price is not a consideration for good video.
