^^ He said no video is displayed whatsover, during POST there should be video, seeing how it uses standard drivers, it would have nothing to do with drivers or anything like that..

Do a monitor self test. Unplug the DVI/VGA cable from the back of your machine and turn on your monitor. It should display a "no signal" or something in that nature. If it does then you know its not your monitor. If that is not the problem, when you boot up your machine look at the little light on your motherboard (flee LED) and see if it is illuminated.. If so move on to disconnecting hardware one at a time and rebooting in between to see if you have a conflict some where.. If you do all this and still have the problem, it is probably your motherboard.. Make sure you are plugged into the right video output on your motherboard, you would be suprised of how many people plug there monitor into the wrong output.. Make sure the brightness is not set to the minimum on your monitor also. Is the light on your monitor green or orange? Green good, Orange bad

Check that the monitor is plugged in and connected to the computer securely. There might be a setting in the software someplace that is telling the monitor to turn itself off, or you have the wrong driver installed. Check the manual.

Check your video card. When my 256 mb AGP 8X died, there was no beep. I tried an older one and the monitor came right on. Recheck the card or is it onboard?

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
