I have bought a new graphics card for my computer and I was told I also need to upgrade my power supply. Is it easy to install these things oneself? Are there situations where the power supply does not fit the computer case, or the graphics card won't fit? I am trying to decide whether to install these things myself, or pay 80 bucks to get it done for me. Any suggestions?

It is an AGP graphics card,

I think it is the best one for AGP Nvidia 7800 GS. At least that is what the reviews I have read said.

If you are good with a screwdriver, it is easily done. Remove the power supply carefully noting where all the wires are plugged in, and take it with you to get the exact replacement. The video card will either be in a PCI or AGC slot, and it is just a matter of pulling out the old and plugging in the new. If it is in an AGC slot, all that is required is unplugging it and plugging it back in. If it is in a PCI slot, you have to disconnect the monitor cable and take out one screw to remove it.

do it ur self its EASY save ur money. The first thin g we will do is undo all nuts around the computer. u will see ur power supply. There should see a bunch of wires going from the power 2 the motherboard. Disscount that. Then do the nuts holding the power supply. Then install the new power supply just in reverse DONE. After that ur video will have one nut. Un do that pull it out. If it will not come wiggle it back and forth gently. It should pop out. DONE. ttO PUT the new video card in do it in reverse.

it is extremely easy. all u ahve to do is

Power suppply

1)tak off the cover, ussually 6-7 nuts around the outside of the case.

2)remove all of the cables, one big one should lead to u motherboard, 4wires to ur hard drive, and 4 more wires t ur cd drive.

3)remove the nuts that connect it to the case. then simply slide out the old pwesupply and put the new one in
note: ii recomend that you do it right after you take the old one out just so that u remember where everything went.

4) reconnect the wires,(big one to the motherboard, two 4wired cables that each go to ur cd drive and hard drive.

Graphics card:
1)remove the nut from the card that will alow it to slide out.

2)take out the graphics card and put the new one in, attach the nut.

3) put the casde baq 2gether and put all of the nuts baq in and presto. u have just done a do-it-urself thingy mabober hung.

P.S. what kind of graphics card was it? the best out right now im pretty dure is the Nvidia 8088 sli 1gb. i hear it loks pretty cool.

When you open up the computer take a picture of what it looks like before you take those two components out. Then unhook them both and put new ones in the same way the old ones went. I have installed both of these before, it shouldn't be more than a 10 minute job tops.

"Is it difficult to position in both an effect furnish and a clean pix card?" by no ability. "...is there any employer like superb purchase i will employ to do it for low-cost?" they are round, probably, yet superb purchase isn't actual one of them! they are the most outrageously priced thieves on earth! My neighbor GAVE me a toshiba l305d with a busted liquid crystal reveal, keyboard, and a decrease playstation cable because he couldn't have the funds for the "thousand money" that the "geek squad" wanted to fix it. He went out and offered a clean one for decrease than 0.5 that. I resoldered the playstation , and were given an liquid crystal reveal and keyboard off of ebay for $fifty 4 and $17 respectively. All mounted!
