Had a question before this-but got too long.

I've had this problem before. Trying to install windows XP on my new S-ATA WD Hard drive.

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB

and this is my motherboard

ASUS P4R800-V DELUXE Socket 478 ATI 9100IGP (RS300) ATX Intel Motherboard
(Which isn't on Newegg anymore)

So I know I need drivers to install the S-ATA when I push F6 and all that. But I can't find drivers that work. I thought I tried the ones on the website..and it just gives me an error on line 2106 mid-installation and tells me I need to quit out cause it can't find the hard drive to install it on.

Yes - the "Onboard SATA" is enabled on my motherboard. It still does NOT detect the hard drives. I'm pretty sure I need to do SCSI or RAID drivers even though I'm not setting up a RAID because thats how I did the last hard drive and it worked.

I just bought one for my husband and am wondering if it'll be worth it. This boxed monitor is old but still works fine after so far 6 yrs.
Can I expect the flat screen's life to extend longer than 3 yrs.?

They say they're encrypted, but can someone, like a neighbor, decipher the signals somehow and see personal data? Or is the signal too far for the neighbor?

I changed the orientation but it's still printing the wrong way. Instead of printing sideways it's printing the normal way just with the 11x8.5 setup so it's cutting half the words out.

Does that make any sense? I had no idea how to word this question- hehe

I have an Epson stylus CX3200. There was a paper jam but when I removed the paper one of the springs that was a part of a plastic roller popped out. (There are three of these rollers inside the printer) My hand is too big to replace it. What kind of tools might be helpful? or what kind of technician could help? when you look at properties on the C drive the pye chart shows 3/4 full. is there anywhere I can look that will show me what files are taking up what space - without going into each individual program. feel most of the stuff on this computer is useless but dont know how to get it off safely without messing up the system. can anyone point me in the right direction?

i have a western digital USB hard drive and my windows currently have the latest usb driver.. the problem is the explorer doesn't detect the usb drive but it is detected on Device Manager. I tried disk management but the usb drive still not found..

how can i use my new WD USB Drive if it is not accesible? WD doesn't care about this after all..

i really nid help with this.. those answers with sense...

My laptop,inspiron E1505, is a not half bad, but when i got it i didnt know about the mobile intel(r) 945gm express chipset on my which is my graphics card, did not support TnL function so i am wanting to change it, but since its intergrated i dont think i can, but if there is someway to add a new one or something, would greatly be of some help

I installed photo printer in my computer beside the other printer I already have, the photo printer works fine, but the other copy printer did not work, always message tells there is no communication between computer and the printer, I did a lot of things to fix this problem USB, disconnect power,,,,,,,,,,,,etc but does not works, finally I uninstall the photo printer from my computer, the other printer works fine and comunication was ok, how to fix this problem? to have two printers work fine and comunicate with the same computer ( dell printer 72 and dell photo printer 540 ) note. I have USB for each printer, I swiched the location of the USB for each priter many times to see in case the location effecting the comunication of any printer I even change USB location and wires for each of them, when I go to print sure I am able chose for which one I want to use this or that one, finally dell technical help customer service spent 4 hours trying to fix this problem but he could not fix it

HELP! I am trying to save a video that I have worked on for like 4 months now onto a CD. This is a Windows Movie Maker project. When I tell the program to save to CD, it tells me that my E drive is not accessable. I have tried sending this directly from the program to the CD, and also have tried saving to my computer and sending it from there to the CD. I get the same error message both ways. I know my burner works because I use it to burn music CD's all the time. It is very important to me that I get this disk burned because it is baby pics of my kids and it's going to be a Christmas gift for their Grandparents. Please help me if you can, I have worked really hard on this project for a very long time. I will be devastated if I cant get this done before Christmas. Any advice will be truly appreciated. WELL WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN IT BY CLICKING ON THE DESKTOP ICON, A SMALL ERROR SCREEN POPPED UP SAYING ("THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN DAMAGED,POSSIBLY BY A BAD SECTOR OF THE HARD DRIVE OR A VIRUS.PLEASE REINSTALL IT")

My daughter is completely dumping her hard drive due to the many viruses she downloaded onto her computer. She is transferring all of her important folders onto her ipod, flash drive and various cds... how can she go about completely dumping her hard drive and starting with a clean slate? i dont know if its musicmatch or my dvd/cd-rw drive (which i dont see is possible bc i just got this computer yesterday), but my recording and burning speeds are SLOOOOW. Im so pissed, and i dont think its musicmatch bc i tried recording a CD on Windows media player and it was slow. For burning CDs My comp goes up to 48x!! And for the recording speeds, Musicmatch lets me go up to 45x and its constantly at 4x!! Its so frustrating i finally got a new comp and this is happning to me. what should i do? do u think its the brand new dvd/cd-rw drive??
