WELL WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN IT BY CLICKING ON THE DESKTOP ICON, A SMALL ERROR SCREEN POPPED UP SAYING ("THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN DAMAGED,POSSIBLY BY A BAD SECTOR OF THE HARD DRIVE OR A VIRUS.PLEASE REINSTALL IT")
THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE & I SCANNED MY COMPUTER WITH MCAFEE & IT FOUND NO VIRUSES. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?

try doing a scandisk. disk cleanup and a defrag,
diskscan will check for bad sectors and move data to a safe place if you have bad sectors, cleanup will clear all deleted files from trash can and other places, and defrag will compact all the files
then try to boot the DVD SANTA see what happens... if it don't work then reinstall the software

First of all, relax and please ease up on the ALLCAPS... It's not a big deal... its just that the program got corrupted somehow, doesn't mean it has to be a virus or your hard drive is going bad. Happens many times to everybody.. Just reinstall the program, there is only a 0.000001% probability that something's actually wrong with your computer (probably more chance of getting hit by a meteor), you'll be fine.
