the cd you bought is 700mb \ 80min
never seen any 800mb cd.

All CD's I thought had intro and closer parts that are used when the disk drive reads the CD. These parts can take up to 100mb (I thought they normally took up less then that but I guess it depends on the CD you buy). Which explains why you can only access 700mb. There is no way to actually remove these parts with out completely destroying the CD.

What are you talking about? Is your burning software only seeing 700MB? Try changing settings in the software.. That is a pretty horrible program if that is the case. Might want to elaborate on your problem..
And by the way there ARE 800MB CD burning media.

i've never heard of an 800 MB CD. i thought 700 was the max.

you cant. increase the capacity of a cd disk... the only way to fit more files on it is to zip the files,(compact)
that way you can get more on the CD... but it will still only hold 700 meg of zipped files

the only thing i can think of is zipping some files to get the megabyte size smaller. u are probably better off using multiple cds
