OK, my kid spilled a diet coke in our apple keyboard and it stayed there till it was gummy. Now several keystrokes result in two adjacent letters and some don't do much at all. I popped them all off and swabbed them with q-tips. What else can be done?

not much you can do, actually. i think it's fried. you can try pulling up the keys and qtipping down there. if it's a laptop you better seek professional advice before the whole computer gets screwed up. been there, done that.

Keyboards form part of the user interface and a keyboard problem can be very annoying. Sometimes the keyboard drivers can get corrupted. Some of the problems can be fixed . I have found the details given at http://fixit.in/keyboard.html is more useful.

If your referring to just an external keyboard (versus a laptop keyboard), I'd say just buy another keyboard, as they're not very expensive (unless you get the Bluetooth keyboard). It's not worth the hassle to try and fix it.
