I have a HP Pavilion PC package which had 256MB RAM originally, I upgraded this to 512MB by adding another 256MB stick. Is it worth me replacing the 2x 256MB sticks with 2x 512MB or possibly 2x 1GB sticks??? Would it make my PC run faster or would I need to upgarde the processor aswell? It has an Intel Celeron 2.8Ghz processor.

Is it safe to leave it on 24/7 or should it be switched off regularly? I have heard so many conflicting versions, would be grateful for advice. Thanks.

I imagine that my dell laptop, when plugged into a stereo from the headphone jack, is responsible for the duty of amplifing the sound in the stereo. IS the a solution or something I can purchase to upgrade my dell so I can connect it to a external sound system and play my music with more volume capabilities. My dance party last night forfitted my great sellection of music on my computer for tedious CD djing.

Ok, we've had a slight incident - and slopped a bottle of wine (red - pinotage!) across the keyboard - it seems ok, should I do anything special except dry it off and turn it upside down for a while? Did that and seems to have gotten most of it..

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!!

When I plug my PC into the wall (before I even try to turn it on) the fans come and the CD LEDs blink fast. Then I try to turn it on and nothing. I've held the power button for 40 sec and it won't turn on or off. The motherboard is a DFI NFII 400-AL. The two LEDs on the motherboard blinking are the Standby Power and DRAM Power. I download the manual and it says what they mean when on solid, but nothing about when they are blinking. I tried a second power supply (not a sufficiant wattage) to make sure it wasn't some kind of short, and the same thing happens. Any ideas what could be making this happen?
