Click the iTunes program where it says "Whateveryournameis's iPod." After a second your red sign will go away.

go down to your start border ( that blue thing) and go all the way to the right side and push the little arrow then hit the icon that says disconnect hardware and your ipod should then say safe to disconnect. Thnxs!

turn PC off or Ipod.
