hello there, I have a question .....my laptop side connector is bad...I have a Presario...supposedly Compaq repaired the issue but about 7 months after the warranty expired the issue came again...the adapter cable doesn't not fit snugly into the female jack...now I have to twist/turn/and do all sorts of things so that the connection remains so much so thaat the laptop does not move from its place as much as I can help it....but the problem is getting worse and frankly I am getting extremely frustrated....I know the connector is attached to the motherboard but what does that entail...what options short of buying a new system do i have? Please help!

P.S.
In your answer please give me specifics as to how to do whatever you're suggesting, please!

I'm not computer expert, but I think there's something wrong with my hardware, it just keep on rebooting while I'm in the middle of doing something. Either surfing the internet or using one of my programs. What do you think the problem?

Since it is supposed to be windows that hangs/ crashes / slows down .. and not because of hardware.?

What is different in dell and other manufacturers? The parts are same (Intel/amd, chipset, wifi , hdd, ....)

The screen is black with lots of words, including: No debugger Configured - dumping debug information. We have restarted it and even taken the battery out but the screen still comes back when we turn it on.

Just got Broadband on my pc which only has 256mb of RAM and is PC133 ram, i have looked on Froogle.com and there seems to be a few different types in the pictures. Is it just the one type?

My PC is about 4 years old, but I can't afford a new one at the moment as i've just got a house and RAM seems to be the cheapest upgrade.

i bought a compaq v2000 laptop, it has been repaired thus far two times... (had to be sent back to HP for repairs)

it's has an AMD Athlon 64 processor... is this a bad processor, or is just compaq a band branch from HP ??

Currently, my desktop PC, when in standby mode, can only be woken up by hitting the computer's power button. Is there a way to configure the computer to wake up out of standby by just pushing one keyboard button or by clicking the mouse?
