If you are using an external hard drive to connect externally you don't need to change jumper setting it will automatically connect as an addition drive just leave to original configuration. Thanks Danny

As the drive will be the only device on the the USB cable, it does not matter...

Just take them out... and since its usb u shouldnt have a prob.
