Really depends on what you want. For me, the only reason to get a laptop is for mobility. If you are mainly going to be using your computer from your desk, go with a desktop. They are faster, bigger (as in hard drive space), more powerful, easier to upgrade, and usually cheaper than laptops. I don't think you can say which one is better. They are two different animals, and you should figure out how you want to use it.

A laptop is TECHNICALLY a PC.
PC stands for personal computer.
But if you're asking if a DESKTOP PC or a LAPTOP is better, they both have their pros and cons.
Personally, I have both.
I bring my laptop to school with me, and I use it to work on projects.
The desktop is used for more... entertaining purposes.
All of my music, games and stuff are on the desktop.
If you ask me, a laptop is better if you're going to school, but a desktop is more useful for everything else.
