i am wondering if you can program talk groups on a trunck tracking scanner and if so how i am new to scanning

How can a hardrive fit anywhere from 80 gigs to almost a terabyte, (I have only seen 200 gig, and rumored the terabyte) when a CD is much bigger and max is around 80 megs. Is there more to this than I can figure out, or can a CD really hold more and the producers are limiting them so they can sell more.

Also, if you have the time, tell me if you can how a CD-RW degrades after time, to where a hardrive can be reformatted and partitioned, then reloaded after it degrades, but a CD-RW cannot and even if it can it is still worn to the point of bad programming. Thanks.

I've seen Sempron ,Turion ,Centrino.Celeron,Duocore, and a bunch of others. I am looking to buy a laptop, which is a good make at a mid range price ...but I'm confused at all the processors out there....and what is a lightscribe ?and is a duo core really better because I ve seen some duocore at only 1.66 mghz ...while I ve seen NON Duocore at 2.0mghz ..surely this is stronger than 1.66mghz....it's all too confusing for me HELP !!!!! thanks in advance from a novice

First, my XP Home edition disk is NOT bootable... When I try to run "setup" from the disk, it says that I have a newer version on my computer than the disk, and will not let me proceed. Is there some way I can bypass this OR is there a free software that will allow me to reformat the drive and reload XP Home Edition? I've tried what I think is just about everything!

my custom pc was running fine when my wife shut it down to rearrange everything she hook everything back up the way it was, yet when i went to turn it back on it wouldnt bring up anything on screen. straight black. it beeps twices then theres a short gap and it beeps six more times. now for my trouble shooting should i take this as 8 beeps or two beeps for one problem and six for another?

I have run my virus, spybot, and other scans but it is still going excessively slow.
Also, in my add/remove programs thing I just noticed a list of programs called Windows XP Hotfix KBbunch of numbers. Should I remove those? They haven't been there before and I'm worried.

It always scan the hard disk E: which is my 80 GIG hard disk partitioned into 40/40. Its an almost new HArd disk and i am really having hard time with it. sometimes, in my PC, it wont detect the hard disk and sometimes it does. what should be the problem?
