I would never buy anything when you can get it for free.
a good site to "try" software is www.cnet.com then go to the download page.

I would "try" a spyware program. I recommend Spybot. Very powerful but be careful.

Also http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html is the best one that I personally have used.

Also if you have updated your explorer it should have a built in pop up blocker. It is most likey caused by a program you downloaded and you did not know adware was part of it. I had alot of that from games I downloaded.

Go to download.com and download Ad-aware SE Personal, Spybot S&D, and SuperAntispyware. Update and run these programs and between the 3, you'll get most any spyware and adware.

Do a free online scan. Kaspersky has a thorough scan, but be aware it takes time. I just finished one now in fact and it took over an hour.

Adaware definatly. I also suggest going to download.com. They have great free software and it is rated by proffessionals.

I think also you need to spring clean your computer. delete temp internette files, clear out active x controlls. clean out spyware. these things lead to pop ups galore.

good luck.

well the best thing to do is to activate your pop-up blocker like i do on my computer, if you use yahoo it should be on the top of the screen, so activate it.
