how big is a TB in GBs

1TB = 1024 GB

1GB = 1024MB and so on

but if you ask your self why is your 200 gb hdd just say 180 gb it is because windows works with this numbers and hdd companies work with 1000 (thousends) wich is wrong
1024 is 2^10 and is near the number 1000 in wich all next 1000 has another name
1st 1000 is Kilo (K)
2nd 1000 is Mega (M)
3rd Giga (G)
4th Tera (T)

and I bet you didn't know Google is a name for a 1000 the 30 or the 31 first one i think :)

about 1000 GB or 1000000 MB
