How do I get my iMac to stop dropping my USB keyboard?

I have a 2006 Apple iMac, and I run Windows on it much of the time. The USB keyboard is dropped very frequently, and i have to plug the keyboard back in to get it to work again. Is there a fix?

Hi Peter Kirby,

Dang! I've never heard of this happening. Do you think that it has to do with switching back and forth between the Mac OS X and the Windows side?

If I were you, I would take it to the Macintosh store that you bought it from and ask them. If it's like an Apple Store, they have those Genius bars that you can ask them about these kind of issues.
