I want my 3G phone to access my computer. However I type the IP address of my computer which has IIS running but the same computer also connects to the Internet through a Wireless Router. I am not using the Local IP (192.168.0.1) I am using the ADSL IP number provided by my ISP. But it doesn't respond.

Okay so when I plug my broadband cable into my desktop, it works fine. When I plug it into my laptop, it recognises it and says that a local area connection is connected. I try to open the internet but it wont open.
I open the network connections bit and try to repair the connection.
It comes back saying it cant cause the ip address cant renew.
So I go to the command prompt and type 'ipconfig/release' and it says its already released.
I then type 'ipconfig/renew' and it says that it cant as it cant connect to the DHCP server.
So whats wrong???? and how do I fix it?

My house is sharing DSLconnection through a wireless router. So it's a wireless network. One of my computers has Apache installed and has a website in it. When I type "http://localhost" on that computer, the website is displayed.. The computer name is "computer1".

When I try to access the website from other computers within the network by typing "http://computer1/", I failed.

What is wrong here?

While I was in Iraq I was in charge of setting up our sat internet. The main problem I had was being able to reach everyone with the signal. I know that they have to have just as stong a signal to go back to them. Does anyone know a semi cheap way to fix this? The farthest person was about 2000 ft. or so away. I just want to know for next time. A lot of guys were pissed off they coudln't get on from their rooms. I used a 2.4 Ghz outdoor router with a 1watt Amp and a 24 Dbi omi directional antenna. Thanks
