check to see if there is a free cycle group in your area and ask if someone has a router to give for free. With people upgrading routers, you might get lucky. You could also try posting/checking craigslist. If there isn't any free ones, someone might be selling a used one for cheap. And it would be better for the environment.

Bestbuy, Walmart, CompUsa, Staples, Target, I personally would avoid buy any used routers, you really can't be sure if everything is working with them. My personal favorite router to use are linksys routers, cheap, easy to use and setup.

i always go to deals2buy.com. If you want a really intense and nice router it might not be really cheap but you can definetely buy cheap ones that aren't very good.

My favorite computer parts sites are www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com. Both sites have an excelent layout and great customer service with usually the best prices. Also you can checkout pricewatch.com, thats a site that lists the best deals on whatever your looking for then links you to whatever site its on. This can be hit or miss sometimes wether it links you to a quality site or not.
