I currently share a wireless connection with other computers in my house. Is it possible for someone to view everything I'm doing on my computer by using another computer on my wireless connection? If so, can you tell me exactly how this is possible? Also, how could I know if someone else is watching everything I do via another computer? Finally, how can I stop them!? If you know please help!

I just have a gut feeling about these things and I'd like it to stop. I don't want someone else stealing my info or knowing things about me they shouldn't! Thanks.

I currently have my network setup so that my router (WRT54G) is upstairs plugged into my modem. This then creates a wireless network for my laptop and xbox (via WGA54G) which are downstairs.

I'd like to move my PC (which has no wireless card) downstairs. Is there a way I can set up my network so I have the modem and game adapter upstairs and the router (with it's wired ethernet ports) downstairs? So far I can connect to the game adapter but can't access the internet.

Ok Here is the problem. I have a dual processor server with windows server 2003. All of 5 of my computer are running windows xp pro and 2 computers are running OSX. Right now I am using a 2 wire modem and it seems to disconnect allot from the DSL network. I have another DSL switch they gave me that doesn't disconnect like the 2wire. I dont want to do a radius server. Is there something else I can do for authentication?

I have a cable modem that operates at twice the speed as my wireless router. I would like for my laptop to be able to connect wirelessly to the router at times, but also connect to the cable modem via an ethernet cable. Is there a way to setup the cable modem to support this (splitter of some kind).

I just moved in, and I learned that I will not be able to get wired internet. So I am going to get a wireless adapter. I am going to be sharing internet with my neighbor but access is passworded. I dont know how to get my other laptop to work with internet. She gave me a password so I can have access but I dont know where to type it.

When I have my xbox live w/l adapter. Will I have the option to put that password to make it work?

I'm in the process of getting a wireless network going at my house. I know I need a router and I also need all the wireless cards and stuff. The problem is, I remember hearing about some smart computer guy once saying something about how the G connection won't be very good in the future and we should switch to N or something...I really don't know. What type should I get? Which is better? Will one of them be more common in the future? If I take my laptop somewhere and want to use my wireless card to hook up to their Internet connection will I have to worry about which type of card to get? I know that's a bunch of questions, but the main one is, What type of wireless network should I get: N, G, or something else?
