Ok Here is the problem. I have a dual processor server with windows server 2003. All of 5 of my computer are running windows xp pro and 2 computers are running OSX. Right now I am using a 2 wire modem and it seems to disconnect allot from the DSL network. I have another DSL switch they gave me that doesn't disconnect like the 2wire. I dont want to do a radius server. Is there something else I can do for authentication?

I have spent hours on the phone with ATT. I have 5 static IP's and they say it could be the 2 wire modem. My question is I am going to start using the switch but I will be using 4 linksys wireless routers using WDS. What should I use as authentication for the wireless without using my server as a radius server.

Why not just use a gateway device as your router? They have authentication built in which avoids needing a radius server seperate from the gateway. ( AirEpoch etc)

Or if you dont want to use your 2003 as a radius controller just setup an ol PII box running linux and freeradius. Your done.

well first off your rich secondly im having trouble understanding your setup.... your modem drops from the dsl or your computers drop from the switch?? if your dropping from there network via your modem then there could be an issue with your modem you can have them do a test on the line to see if there is any issues from the company to your modem...
