OK I am confused, you have an IP of 204.56.26.0x - I assume that comes from your ISP - since your ISP assigns that for YOU unless you buy more IP's from the ISP that is the only one you can have!. (Now that I think about it you can't use that one because it is a broadcast address so you really have NO IP - unless that 0 is 01 etc)
. Now if you want to have private IP's for your own LAN (get a router between you and the ISP) then you can use anything within the private IP ranges. like 10.0.0.1 etc

IP addresses are, for the home user, one to a customer. Sounds like you've got one, so what's the issue?
