i have recently attempted to connect my new homehub , previously i have been using a voyager 2000 with no probs.
firstly after loading the software the pc refused to accept the wep key so i had to input this manually, manged to connect the pc and two laptops but when attempting to check speed etc using bt software i loose wireless connection and need to reset the wireless zero protocol. i have been completely unable to connect to my other pc that is using a bt 1010 adaptor, is there a conflict with these and the hub?
help in india was a waste of time, after one hour i was advised to try the next day and the next chap told me that i needed to contact my windows supplier as this was the problem. the remote access was cute but to be honest all they did was wonder aimlessly around my deasktop
i have now returned to my voyager and guess what no
problems!
i would like however to use the hub as it was faster any ideas why there was a problem with the 1010 adaptors?

Your highest priority, and the project that you were specifically hired for, is to upgrade the existing network. Your employer currently has only one building, half office space and half manufacturing/warehouse. The existing network has only ThickNet and ThinNet connecting PCs and servers and other devices. What overall plan would you create to upgrade the network for this bottlenecked company? How will your plan support future growth and upgrades?

I've looked at a lot of remote control applications and many that are web-based that do not require the installation of a server/client charge a monthly fee. I've seen various scenarios that people have put together using ReverseVNC, etc. But I'm looking for something very simple - where the client logs into a website or goes to a particular web page from their network - and then I on the outside login to a similar or same website/webpage and gain remote control of their computer... I am not interested in paying monthly fees. I simply want to buy the ActiveX or whatever module/programming is required and move on... I am looking for something that is strictly web-based so please do not offer solutions that involve the installation of client or host software. It's very surprising to me that no one appears to be giving WebEx a run for their money. Their product model is so simple and yet so many software developers appear to overlook the huge benefits of a web-based solution.

I have a new laptop and a linksys router (wireless N). The router has 3 computers connected but the laptop won't even see the connection (it did for 5 minutes but wouldn't connect). It sees neighboring connections but won't connect to those either (secured). I'm at a total loss!!

I have a laptop that is on loan from work. It has a wireless G card in it, but I don't have a wireless access point. I do, however, have an extra wireless-G usb adaptor. Now, here's what I want to do.

I have a wired router w/ an IP of 192.168.1.1, I also have an extra PC which is also on the wired network. I would like to connect the wireless USB adaptor to the extra PC. I would then like to connect the two wireless cards through an ad-hoc connection and be able to browse the internet on the laptop through the extra PC.

The only problem with this, I think, is that the Windows intenet connection sharing would end up competing with the config from my router. So I think I have to manually configure the TCP/IP settings (IP, SNM, Gateway, DNS, etc.)

If the PC has an IP of 192.168.1.110 wired and 192.168.1.210 wireless and the LT has 192.168.1.220 wireless, what would I enter into all the fields to get functionality

Are there any sites that will hide my actual location and trick the BBC to beleive that I am in Britain.

I have gone through the process to set up the network as stated on wondows XP, i have done this on both the laptop, and the desk top, the desk top does not have a network card, and sky have told meit does not need one, unless i want that to be netwoked, but of course the router is also a wireless router, which they tell me can do both.
