i have recently attempted to connect my new homehub , previously i have been using a voyager 2000 with no probs.
firstly after loading the software the pc refused to accept the wep key so i had to input this manually, manged to connect the pc and two laptops but when attempting to check speed etc using bt software i loose wireless connection and need to reset the wireless zero protocol. i have been completely unable to connect to my other pc that is using a bt 1010 adaptor, is there a conflict with these and the hub?
help in india was a waste of time, after one hour i was advised to try the next day and the next chap told me that i needed to contact my windows supplier as this was the problem. the remote access was cute but to be honest all they did was wonder aimlessly around my deasktop
i have now returned to my voyager and guess what no
problems!
i would like however to use the hub as it was faster any ideas why there was a problem with the 1010 adaptors?

this is no suprise mate,i use the bt home hub and allthough being the only bt customer with a working hub,i still think the home hub is going to be the nail on the coffin for bt broadband
i get daily drops in connection and the speed fluctuates from 2.5mbps to 5.5mbps
they also give you a hub manager to keep a eye on your downloads, but why when the hub is resetting the hub manager every other day
my advice would be to stay with your voyager 2000,i used the voyager 205 before the hub and i have to agree that the voyager series of routers are brilliant, from the day i set my voyager up,i never had 1 problem in 3 years, needless to say,i have still got my voyager and its coming ever closer to a re-incarnation
withreference to your 1010 adapter i can recommend a usb wirless device that i know works with the hub,the Belkin 802.11g USB Adaptor(http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6766647/Trail/C%24cip%3D50277.Office%2C%2BPC%2Band%2Bphones%3EC%24cip%3D50298.PC%2Bperipherals%2Band%2Baccessories%3EC%24cip%3D50309.PC%2Bnetworking%2Baccessories.htm)is a low priced alternative to the bt adapters and from 2 rooms away i can get a good connection
note:try using the belkin software to connect to the hub and not the bt wireless connection manager, this may be better
hope this works for you
good luck

Hi hope this helps, I have a BT Homehub with a wireless connection, I spent about 4 days continuing to get a connection I spent hours on the phone to BT with no success. In the end I read the setup guide and started again from step 1, turn everything off, Hub and computer from the mains. First switch on Hub leave for a few minutes then switch on computer I think everthing needs to reset itself this worked for me, I was so relieved I was ready to throw everthing out the window

I Have a bt 1011 turbo adapter and no probs encountered save one.
I discovered that on my PC running xp home that to maintain a continuous wireless connection I had to disable Windows Zero Wireless Configuration in Services as it clashed with bt's own software.

Don't know if that bit of info is of any help to you but it sure as hell saved me a load of grief.....Good luck
