I am going to my Nan's tomorrow and I want to take my IPod with me but she doesn't have a computer/wireless connection so I won't be connected to the internet. Will my IPod still charge without a connection or will I just have to leave it at home?

Thanks!
Lorna

I am on an rpg site that prohibits mutliple accounts and they track this through IP addresses I think. What IP # do websites such as this track, the static or dynamic one.

If i plug it into (wireless broadband) my laptop and then press the wireless button on my laptop i get another connection 54 mpbs aswell. P.S. I'm only paying £15.98 per month and the price hasn't gone up ever. I have it now for 4 years. I have also told my provider that i am getting this speed and they said because your house is in a wireless zone. Does anyone else have what i got. I'm living in England by the way.

Are laptops supposed to be mainly for travel ,or is it ok to rely solely on a laptop for the home computer?Ever since my PC broke down I've been using my laptop as my primary computer.I never take it off my home desk.It stays there just like a desk top PC.I rarely even close the top down. When Im done I just shut it off and leave it open.
Is this detremental,or harmful to the shelf life etc.?Is this appropriate ussage or should I have to purchase a PC?If so,What are the advantages to owning a PC v.s a laptop?

Why does my yahoo messenger keeping signing itself out and back in again? It is doing this every 5-10 minutes. I have a cable connection and my internet is fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling messenger and that did not fix it. Could it be the Netgear router that I installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yahoo seems to not care to fix this problem. I guess services that we don't pay for are no concern to them.

I have a Netgear 8.11 G router. I am running an unsecured network at my home through Comcast. I've changed the user name and password on my address page but then I am locked out of my own network. I have to plug directly into the LAN to get connected into wireless by changing the user names back back to the default which leaves me unsecured again.

Also, how can I know if someone is using my network?

Could this be related to my other problem of having to reset my cable modem practically every day?

I suspect that one of my employees is visiting "innapropriate" and/or questionable web sites during the work day. This individual is smart enough to delete browsing history in Internet Explorer.
Our server utilizes Microsoft Small Business server software. All internet access goes out through our server.

Can anyone suggest how I might monitor web usage by this person? Specifically, I would like to know web site visited, time, date, and duration of stay at the site.

I know there are some expensive software solutions available to perform this task, but I was hoping that someone reading this may have successfully dealt with a similar situation in the past without a large financial outlay for expensive software.

Thanks!

I'm trying to share a printer between my two computers at home. Both are running XP, and both are connected to a router, which in turn connects to my cable modem. I've run the wizard on both computers. One one computer (the one with the printer), I can ping the other, but I can't access it. On the other computer (the one without the printer), I can't ping it or access it. On both when I try to access the other I get the " this computer is not accessible, you might not have permission, blah, blah" error. I've setup the printer for sharing. On the computer without the printer, when I go to add a printer, I tell it to search for one, and the other computer shows up, but no the printer connected to it. I feel like there must be some trick to what I'm doing wrong. Both use the same workgroup name, have the compatible IP addresses, etc. Please help.
