Your IP address is likely dynamic and assigned by a DHCP server if you're on a network... try "ipconfig /flushdns" "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew" in your command prompt... hopefully it will assign you a new IP.

Hi
Ok , every website has a network log connection wish , when you HIT the page after writing www.whatever.com wil give out your ip. Now the way they track it is cause ALL THE ISPS in the world need to have their DNS server register in internick , now , for ex , if you have CABLE MODEM or DSL , the isp will give you a dynamic ip for a period of 24 hours i think , now this ip is the one that hits the page , so the website administrator can trace route from where this ip came from. If you want to have a static ip , then you need to call your isp and tell them you want want . Now THIS will cost you some$ Now if you know how to go into your cablemodem , then do it and where it says network config youll see the ip YOUR isp has give you , THIS ip is the one that hits the website .

Most cable internet providers use dynamic addresses unless you specifically request a static one (if they even provide it). They probably see the IP from the last point of origin from your cable provider. From there, they can backtrack to your IP assigned by your cable provider (usually to the modem), that is what they are probably using.
You can try releasing the IP, but internally the network will usually give out the same IP for the same MAC address, unless you disconnect from the network completely for up to about 90 days.

If u don't have a good Firewall that hides your entire ip (like ZoneAlarm) they track it through your cookies and moves on the net...
