ok, to get your Internet Explorer Icon back just right clkick on the desktop click properties that shoul dopen teh display properties window, now click on the desktop tab and click on the customize desktop button now put a chekc mark for Internet Explorer and click ok on both the windows, now to getrid of the IE getting struck issue, just right click on teh Internet Explorer Icon on the desktop and click on properties and delete cookies and Temporary Files, now click on teh Advanced Tab and look for Enable third Party Browser Extension, it will have a check mark now uncheck it and click apply and hit ok now restart the system it should work fine.

Hmmm...actually you will find that Firefox has many flaws, some of which are very dangerous, such as a key-logger that can install without any user interaction simply by visiting a web page!
Go have a look at http://www.frsirt.com/english and see the number of Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey critical flaws.

People get emotional about these things - don't let that sway you. Instead, focus on the facts. IE7 is currently the browser with the smallest number of critical flaws. That's a major reason to use it. Firefox doesn't support ActiveX controls, so many web sites won't work properly when viewed with it.

And no, I'm not a Microsoft fanatic, I simply make up my own mind and refuse to be yet another grey little sheep that runs with the crowd.
