I want my stepson to get off the computer, and if Facebook conveniently didn't work, or returned a fake error like this computer has been banned from using facebook, or some such thing, the kid would get off his *** and get a job. I know it sounds weird, but if he thinks its disabled because he did something wrong, he'll be too lazy to get it back. If I simply unistall it or forbid him from using it, there is no end to the extent he'll go to defy us.

I have Yahoo! Online Protection (including Anti-Virus and Spyware plus more) as part of my ATT/Yahoo Internet connectivity package. I am getting a message to upgrade my Anti-Virus to Norton Antivirus (the message is from Yahoo and the software is on Yahoo's site). BUT... the install verbiage says that I should UNINSTALL all current Antivirus programs prior to install, else my computer may mess up. Has anyone gone through this process? I would think that if Yahoo! is inviting the upgrade that their install process would handle "everything" but I don't want to assume anything. Am I better off ignoring the upgrade opportunity, or, if not, how should I proceed? I don't know how to uninstall Yahoo! Online Protection - especially without uninstalling the entire package (Email Protection, Pop Up Blocker, etc.), which I want to keep. Thanks

My laptop computer screen was damaged and I was wondering if there is anyway that it can be repaired. The screen is cracked and the screen is mostly white except for a little bit on the top. Will I be able to send it in to the computer company to get it repaired?

right now i have a black macbook. But idk if i should get a new one. I want a laptop that i can download alot of music and movies on watch movies. Something not heavy, so that i can travel with it. I tried it on 2 computers, removed it and restarted my cpu, tried different ports and still nothing. It used to work fine and all of a sudden went out. I looked in device manager and my cpu recognizes it but it has a yellow exclamation point next to it. It says I need to update the drivers but I have looked everywhere for them (driversguide, google) and still cant find them. Its a mini sd cf-rs205 1gb card reader I bought from ebay. Is there anything that I didnt check?? Do I just need a driver or do these flash drives go bad?? thanks

I have a lap top thats about a year old and when i turned it on it was allready set up for wireless and i never had to do anything, NOw im realizing that im getting it from my neighbors, How and what do I need to have my internet Legit? Why do I get the same nonsensical email from so many different senders. All the names are first name, middle initial and last name and always contain something about how to 'satisfy' your woman via drugs or some sort of male inhancement. (by the way...I AM a woman so I certainly don't need my 'organ' inhanced.) I would love to know how "spam" works.

Okay.. heres the deal. Me and my parents have pretty much decided that I am going to get a labtop for christmas. The computer we have currently is piece of crap old dell... and I plan to go to college in a couple of years. So I really want a nice computer that will last... and one where I wont have to wait half an hour to turn the fricken thing on. Also something that will be good for school. I really like the macbooks. They have them on amazon on sale for like 1019.00.. which is like 80 dollars less then if I go to apple. The only thing is if apple is gonna come out with a brand new top-of-the line labtop the new year.. I hate when they do that(but they make really sweet computers...))

Also.. so many people say windows vista is a piece of crap.. and you cant downgrade to xp if needed.. and any labtop that isint a mac is sold on VISta. But if anyone has a diff opinion...?

Sooo0o... do you think a macbook would be a good investment for the future or maybe a vista computer??

If a person puts you in their top 8 friends, what does that mean exactly? I accepted a friend request from this one guy I've never met (or even talked to online) and when I went to his profile, I was in his top 8. I know for a fact it's not an automated account, or a hijaked one. He logs in quite frequently, makes changes to his profile, but yet I'm STILL there! I sent him the following message last weekend, but still no reply or explanation.

"Top 8? I don't know you... but thanks?"

Well, as you might have guessed, I'm having trouble setting up/using a Favicon.

I made the favicon, but it's not working, the pixels are the right size and everything, so that's not the problem... and when I use the code for it, it doesn't work - I think that's the problem.

Advice, anyone?
