If you did send it, the email should show up in your "sent items" folder. The folder usually shows up on the left side of the screen.
If you click on the folder, your email should be there.

All is not lost! You just click on 'sent mail' and you will get a copy of all the emails you have sent. I think this is great, because as I get older I find it hard to remember what I said in an email, especially if I send it in the early hours of the morning. I also use Windows XP, my wife uses Vista, but it's the same with both.
For ages I sent emails, thinking that was that, but one day somebody told me that I could re-read them by doing the above. Some of the emails were quite lyrical, and I was quite impressed with myself! (Only joking).
But you can retrieve it.

You can't get the one back you mailed, but I'm on XP and I have a sent folder, where there is always a copy of what I sent. It also depends on the mail program you are using.

If you had it on screen it for a few minutes if you are using msoft programs outlook or express it will have saved it to drafts, it should have popped up a message asking if you wanted to save it before hand, if not you are gonig to struggle to get it back sorry !!

Check your sent folder. Sometimes copies are saved there. Depends on what email program you have????
