I found out that my computer is infected with a virus and a Trojan horse. The problem is that I practically know NOTHING about how to remove these malware from my computer and I my anti-virus(AT &T Yahoo! Online Protection) just won't do ANYTHING about it. The virus is called downloader and the trojan horse is called Trojan.ByteVerify.

So my question is....


What should I do?

Please only answer if you know about computer viruses and Trojan horses!

I use yahoo search but lately it's been really crazy every time I click on a link it redirect me somewhere else for example: I click onYoutube in the search it redirect me to another search site I never heard of. Help if you can.

Help I dont know how to do this. The X (column A) is a random number.

Calculate y, (column B) based on the x value listed in column A. If 0 ≤ x ≤ 3, then y = 2x. If 3 < x ≤ 10, then y = (x-3)2 + 6. If x < 0, note "negative x". If x >10, note "x is too large".

i have to do type a project and i have to fit a lot of information on only 3 pages, with a font size of 12 (thats the requirement). Can anyone tell me a good font that will take up a little space (using size 12 of course) so I can fit a lot of info on my 3 pages?

I've never used either of these, but am interested in 3-d character design. I want to design buildings, characters, and clothes. Like the ones in Final Fantasy. How much does each program cost with a student discount. Do you need to go to school to learn them. Today I was replying to an e-mail. Someone interrupted me and I went away from my computer. When I got back my cursor wasn't on the screen. I moved it around and so forth, nothing. Then I notice my computer was frozen, yet the light on the CPU wasn't on. So, I did ctrl/alt/delete and nothing happened. So, I hardbooted the computer. Yet, it doesn't come back on. There is no light on the CPU and the fan is louder than normal. Do I have a virus, or was the computer simply overheating?

I am presently selling some software that I have installed once, but never used, so I figured I might as well get rid of it. I have a ebayer telling me that after its activated three times on computers, that its no longer usable. Does this make any sense? Im wondering if I should just pull the auction, b/c I certainly don't want someone to buy something of mine if they are suspicious or concerned. Just looking for thoughts or opinions.

My boss wants me to turn a pdf worksheet into an excel worksheet (basically transfer data to excel instead of it being in PDF form). Is this possible? If so, how -details? I really don't have time to retype all the info into an excel spreadsheet.

Im using a laptop, with a d-link dwa-130 network card...its running on a "N" network so it should be really quick. My router is fast as well, and im running on Verizon FiOS as my ISP.

Problem is, my internet is around 12mpbs in my room, and drops completely every now and then. Im completely fine when im near the router, but in my room (70 feet away with a wall in between the router and my laptop). We tried a D-link repeater and that didnt work neither. What should i do?

I have a Dell server and 7 workstations + 3 printers. We are planning on getting a static ip address so we can access the server and other workstations remotley, also we need to have the printers on the network. i am confused if i need to buy a static ip address for each equipment or if i can just get one static ip address and assign it to the router then have the router assign an ip address for each equipment and in this case would the router assign a static ip address to the stations and server or is it gonna be dynamic...
