Sorry, to tell you that is what happens when you download the very worse garbage in the world Nortons. Trying to remove is going to cause you more conflict with your PC. When you go to Add/Remove, you will only think that Nortons has been removed. Instead you will find that you are left with over 375 fragments glued to your registry keys, folders/files and subsystem. Pure hell try to find and remove.

Go to start, accessories, system tools, and open "system restore. You should see areas where you are can restore your PC, back to a prior date. (Some times there are no restore dates and your PC, will tell you. Lets hope that you have a restore date. Restore if possible on a date prior to the installation of Nortons.

Then get rid of this garbage.

There are excellent free antivirus software that is light years ahead of Nortons. Avast free for home personal use will give you an excellent background scanner that really works in real time and you will get auto. updates on the hour. http://www.avast.com

boot up hit F8 than go to restore to a point before you installed Norton

don't uninstall it once its configured correctly its a good tool to have i have it myself.but any way in what way is your computer acting up. if i u let me know i may be able to help
