Hi im a mac user and I was wondering how i download the plug-ins... I know this sounds funny... But when i try to play a game on the computer it says click here to download plug-in. But it doesnt work at the top though were it said install missing plug-ins it doesnt work either please help!

Is there a program that can display a list of other programs that may be taking up most of my internet connection? I have dsl and it shouldnt be running like dial up. I tested my speed a minute ago and its at 30kbs wtf?

I booted up yesterday and my normal desktop did not come up.I have no icons.I just have my background picture so I cannot navigate from my desktop.The only way I can do anything is to hit "ctrl alt delete" and than switch tasks.How can I restore my desktop?Thank you for the help.

I have been searching OCUK for a new card recently and the one i wanted to go for was a new nvidia 8800 gt 512 with around 650 core clock speed and nice shader speeds for about £200. So then i thought id have a look at ATI section and im seeing the same card with clock speeds of over 775mhz for 40 pounds less?! whats up with that? Are ATI cards just fast sounding but not actually any good or are nvidia ones just really expensive?

Would appreciate what people think and what card to go for... i want one to really sustain crysis.

I just bought a new USB 2.0 wire for my portable hard drive as I lost the original one. When I plug it in the lights on the hard drive lights up but it is not detected at my laptop. What seemed to be the problem?

Hey guys my laptop has been having problems and recently when i turned it on it shows the gateway and then in the bottom right bios setting and boot menu, but then it goes to a black screen with a blicking cursor. I cannot type anything and none of the F keys will take me anywhere. Its just beeps. Now if i hit F2 right as i turn on the computer it takes me to a screen that says PhoenixBIOS Setup Utility, but it wants a password, but i dunno the password. And also if i hit F10 right as the computer is turning on it takes me to a boot emnu where the options are hard disk, CD ROM DVD ROM, boot to LAN, and removable device. none of these work and it just goes back to the black screen with a blinking cursor. I don't have a restore cd, but i'm going to borrow one off a friend, what do you guys think is my problem and do you think the cd will fix the problem, thanks.

Ok so i used 3 programs to recover data which mysteriously disappeared from my NTFS pc hard drive. When i use these programs i see the pictures/videos i want to recover. When i reocover them nothing... 98% are corrupt. WHY? if the program can see the files why can't it just recover them? Would i disk defragment or cleanup fix the problem?

when i first thought it sounded good i click on the download, it did not say i had to pay for anything until it ran a scan of my computer, then it ask if i wanted to clean my computer, i had to buy thier product, i took it out of my computer so i thought now every time i'm looking for anything in my computer it keeps popping up. please help me how can i stop this from hapening. i have norton spyware for protection, but when run a scan it says that the computer is find. but i know that is not.

I read on the box that the drivers for this are compatible with XP x64.
However...
They install ok, and seem for run fine, but the adaptor will work for about 5 mins and then stop working. It says it's still connected to the network, however it will not access the internet.
Are there any other drivers that I could use to fix this??
