I've got a old Toshiba Satellite 1105 laptop that just won't recognize that the AC adapter's plugged in. Battery's completely dead now, but the "Power cable attached" LED doesn't light up on the laptop with or without the battery inserted. The power adapter's working fine, pumping out the required 19V DC, and I popped open the laptop to check the plug, and it's receiving the same 19V to the Motherboard. I'm not sure where to go from there, anyone have a suggestions. I'm thinking it might be a bad Motherboard, but I'd appreciate any other ideas on this. Thanks --Richard

Im just wondering if im able to put 2 video cards onto my motherboard ( Asus A8N32 - SLI DELUXE ). My current Video card is a ( e-GeForce 7800 GT w/ Copper Heatsink ), and im planning to get the exact same video card.

I typically leave my laptop out in the cold. However, last night it was really cold (24 degrees) and in the morning I tried to turn it on but it would IMMEDIATELY shut off. On the 4th try, it finally powered up and works perfectly fine now. When I do leave it in my car, it's zipped up in a protective laptop bag.
the computer is about 2 months old....do you think something bad happened to it or is it fine? It works fine now, but I just want to know if I may have damaged something.

I have wahm shoppes and they have a wysiwyg home page creator. My problem is I want to put picture on the left side and information on my store on the right and it's not letting me do that. I can put words there but it would just be one line. Someone did mention to use tables but I don't know how to do this , I don't know html. Can someone help me pls?? I've asked in their forum but no one answered me!!

Hello.
I just set up a home network with a belkin router, the internet connection comes from a cablemodem and then goes to the router, from the router I have a ethernet cable to a desktop computer running XP and I have another computer wireless connected running Vista. After the laptop sleeps or hibernates, does not connect again to the router and I have to reset the laptop to reconnect.

I would appreciate if somebody assist me, pls, so I dont have to restart my coputer after it sleeps or hibernates.

I just got done taking pictures with my digital camera and forgot to change the file type to .JEP, so now the images are .NEF types. I need to upload them on a PC and can't. I tried using Irfanview by changing the .TIF extension to .NEF but that didn't work. I need to d/l a new program but I don't know which one would be best.

I have some Excel documents to send to other parties outside my office. I want to set it so they can't modify any of the data, but they can filter it. How do I do that? I've been trying but every attempt at protecting the document can be undone by the person I'm sending it to.

I was just taking a look at the NFS pro street readme and it said that the minimum CPU requirement is a pentium 4 at 2.8ghz. I have a quad core at 2.4ghz with SLI 8500 gt's and 2gb ram, and it is lagging. Could this be a driver issue? What else could be wrong?

I just bought a new gateway mt3423 laptop with Windows Vista.

long story short i didnt like vista tried to downgrade to xp, couldnt find compatable drivers and wound up reinstalling vista.

now whenever i try to open up my games like solitaire or minesweeper etc. I get a message telling me im in software rendering mode, and i either don't have hardware acceleration enabled, or my video card doesn't support this feature.

Anyone know a way to fix this WITHOUT buying a new restart disk from gateway.

Where can i just talk to someone to get an idea how much it would cost to develop a relatively complex and daily updated website? i would work on it myself, but just need a basic website to start with. as time and money permits i will be adding to it. It would be an encyclopedia of sorts but for a specific subject (dont want to go in more detail). people can add, and there will be blogs, comments section. photos and videos.

any ideas. I live in schaumburg, IL near Chicago.

I made a purchase in Australia from the "flyfishing-gifts.com" quickbyte productions in colorado and am having high difficulty contacting them.
