I've got a old Toshiba Satellite 1105 laptop that just won't recognize that the AC adapter's plugged in. Battery's completely dead now, but the "Power cable attached" LED doesn't light up on the laptop with or without the battery inserted. The power adapter's working fine, pumping out the required 19V DC, and I popped open the laptop to check the plug, and it's receiving the same 19V to the Motherboard. I'm not sure where to go from there, anyone have a suggestions. I'm thinking it might be a bad Motherboard, but I'd appreciate any other ideas on this. Thanks --Richard

Hi. Well you did the smart thing by checking for voltage on the motherboard. Look carefully for a fried component or trace. Sound like it may be shopping time though.
