What features should a computer have to be perfect for video editing and digital compositing?

(Ram characteristics, Memory, Video and Audio devices, displays, etc) I plan to use it for HD editing.

Hi. It needs superb graphics, a great CPU, lots of fast RAM, and as much storage as you can afford. The monitor is very important for correct color rendition too.
