go to START-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-WORDPAD. and you can write as many letters as you like. ctc

You don't necessarily need Microsoft Office to write letters, but if you feel you need a complete office suite of programs, you could try OpenOffice. It's a free program, and is compatible with Microsoft Office files. Get it from the first url below.

If it's just a word processor you want, you can download AbiWord, another free program. Get that from the second url below.

You can also get a portable version of AbiWord that runs from a USB flash drive, which means you don't actually need to install it on your computer. Get that from the third url below.
