my friends laptop is sending a message up everytime he starts up his Comp...the message is as follows...

I dont know how old it is...It is a Toshiba Tectra. he doesnt know how old it is, he bought it second-hand a year ago ...
is it worth keeping or shall he get rid of it & buy a new one? he doesnt want to spend too much money on it...thanks again

Hi. That is just a 'start up' screen with the BIOS (or other) date and showing 32M of RAM. You can look in the BIOS to disable it, or that may be the default and the battery finally gave out. Replace the battery. Easy to do.

looks like BIOS halt or its locking up trying to load the BIOS.
How old is this computer 32 MB of memory isnt alot.
