yea so i got a trojan virus from limewire and it almost completly screwed up my computer, i removed limewire now im trying to get rid of the virus.

what i need to know is:
what anti-virus system(free) should i get because AVG works for sh** and i need a good one

and
are there any other file-sharing networks that wont give me viruses, or atleast not as bad as limewire

he mistakenly deleted the file for the start menu and the taskbar and now he cant get anything done.
he got a disc from a friend who told him the disc should have on the file but now he needs to find the file and the folder thats it belongs in con someone please help me

It can take 10 hours for my daughters laptop to boot up. Once she starts it an hour glass stays on the screen that long. Besides running better virus software on it (it has pitiful Norton), what else can I do to fix this?

I know finding free things can be tough sometimes, but I am trying to track down a Microsoft Access template that I can use for cataloging books in a small library for a National Guard museum. We have a couple thousand antique military manuals and no idea what they are so I have decided to tackle the task of cataloging them but Access is one of the few MS programs that I don't really know how to use and have been trying to work it out for the past few days with no luck.
Does anyone know where I can find what I'm looking for or perhaps would someone want to help us out by making a simple database? The catagories to list the books under would be "Location" "Publication Title" "Publication Number" and "Date".

I've used spybot, and it finds it and when i select fix problems, after afew seconds it flashes to a blue screen with a bunch of text on it, and thenshuts down. it restarts and no problems have beenfixed, obviously. I've tried restarting in safemode, but my comptuer freezes on one of the screens with filenames all the way down the screen. I've tried deleted the keys, and the program itself, but it still continues to run. Any help before i resort to reformatting would be much appreciated!

My computer is unable to connect to the internet! IP Address shows numbers starting with 169, called my ISP and they said i have to make my IP adress to start with 192!
