My clear recent items in the start up is not there no more?

My recent items folder still works and has the files I recently opened, however it doesn't have the "Clear recent item list" thing when I right click it. It doesn't show it, back then it did. Can someone help me?

-right click on your your start button
-click properties
-the start menu tab shouldeither hav Start Menu or Classic start menu with the button. either way click "customize..."
-if you ar eusing the Start Menu...click Advanced (its the tab at the top next to general) if you use slassic start menu, u can skip this step.
-there you should see your "clear list button
