i just got a portable hard drive,?

does anyone know how to sync it automatically with certain folders on my comp. It came with a program but it doesn't seem to be working

You can use freeware such as SyncBack

Uninstall and reinstall the program.

A quick overwrite would be to keep all your files in one folder. THen drag and drop this folder into the portable drive. When asked to replace a file, click "Yes to ALL".
